Payments

The optional $5 Support RECEIPTS payment is one-time and separate from RECEIPTS premium subscriptions. When public premium checkout is activated, Basic Research, Plus Research, and Research Pro are recurring monthly subscription tiers processed through Stripe. The checkout flow is designed to show the price, billing frequency, included monthly search allowance, renewal terms, and cancellation/refund links before the user deliberately continues to payment. Public premium billing remains locked during the current prelaunch QA period. Neither payment purchases legal advice, representation, or a guaranteed legal result.

Duplicate, mistaken, or unauthorized charges

If you believe a support payment was duplicated, made in error, or unauthorized, use the customer-support contact information shown on your Stripe receipt or payment record as soon as reasonably possible. RECEIPTS will review legitimate payment problems. Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under applicable law or your payment provider's rules.

General refunds

Because the current support payment is voluntary support rather than a purchase of a specific legal service, completed support payments are generally not promised as refundable. However, RECEIPTS may issue a refund where appropriate, including verified duplicate or mistaken charges.

Subscriptions and cancellation

When public subscriptions are enabled, premium subscriptions renew monthly through Stripe until canceled. Customers can use the Stripe subscription-management portal made available through their RECEIPTS account to stop future renewal. Cancellation is designed to take effect for future billing while access may continue through the already-paid period. Subscription charges are generally not promised as refundable after a billing period begins, except where required by law or where RECEIPTS confirms a duplicate, unauthorized, or billing-error charge.
